Choose an exchange format
Use Excel to CSV for a plain table, or CSV to Excel for a workbook. CSV cannot retain multiple sheets, cell styling or workbook features. Check dates, leading zeros and long identifiers after conversion.
Clean before combining
Use Clean spreadsheet to trim spaces and remove empty or duplicate rows. Before merging files, check that their column headings describe the same fields. Keep a source copy so you can review any removed rows.
