How to convert a PNG to SVG
1. Choose the PNG
Open a PNG logo, icon or drawing up to 30 MB. It is traced in your browser and never uploaded.
2. Tune colours and detail
Logo or artwork is selected already. Lower Colours until anti-aliased edge shades merge into the main colours, and lower Detail to drop stray specks.
3. Download the SVG
Check the preview against the original, then select Download SVG or copy the code.
Transparency
Fully transparent pixels are left out, so a transparent PNG gives an SVG with no background shape. Partly transparent edges are traced as solid colour. If the PNG has a solid backdrop, tick Make the background transparent to remove the area connected to the corners.
Small icons and pixel art
A tiny PNG has little edge information, so smooth curves can look uneven. Start from the largest version you have. For pixel art, choose Pixel edges to keep every square exactly. To make website icons from the result, use Favicon generator.

Good to know
- A transparent PNG stays transparent in the SVG.
- Use the largest PNG you have; small icons trace with rougher curves.
- Lower Colours for a flat logo to merge anti-aliased edge shades.
Questions & answers
How do I convert a PNG to SVG?
Choose the PNG. It is traced straight away with the Logo or artwork setting. Adjust Colours and Detail if needed, check the preview, then select Download SVG.
Does the SVG keep my PNG’s transparent background?
Yes. Fully transparent pixels are left out of the SVG. If your PNG has a solid background instead, tick Make the background transparent.
Why does my small PNG icon look uneven as an SVG?
Tracing follows the pixels it is given. A 32-pixel icon has very little edge information, so curves can look lumpy. Start from a larger version, or choose Pixel edges to keep a deliberate pixel-art look.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every Feemag tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermarks added by us and no daily limits.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser on your device and never uploaded to a server. Processing speed depends on your device and file size.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes: in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux.
