How to use background remover

  1. 1. Choose your photo

    Open a JPG, PNG or WebP under 30 MB, up to 24 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side.

  2. 2. Remove the background

    Select Remove background. Keep the tab open while the model downloads and processes your photo. Cancel is available throughout.

  3. 3. Inspect and save

    Review the checkerboard preview, especially hair and fine edges, then download a transparent PNG at the original dimensions.

What this tool preserves

AI edges can be imperfect around hair, glass and similar colors. Review the preview. Up to 24 megapixels and 30 MB per image.

Privacy and practical limits

Files stay on your device. Each input must be under 150 MB. Processing speed and memory use depend on your device. Keep original documents; PDF transformations do not preserve digital-signature validity.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The model downloads to your browser and processes your image on your device.

Does the PNG keep the original resolution?

Yes, within the 24-megapixel and 8,192-pixel side limits. The model estimates edges at 320 pixels and the mask is scaled to your original dimensions.

Will hair and glass be perfect?

No. Fine strands, transparent materials and low-contrast edges can be missed. Inspect the preview before using the cutout.

Why is the first run slower?

About 176 MB of model data downloads on first use. Browser caching may avoid downloading it again. Slower devices can take a minute or more.
