Meet an upload requirement
A file-size limit and a pixel-size requirement are different. Use Resize image for width and height, then Compress image for a KB or MB limit. Check the downloaded dimensions and file size against the destination’s instructions.
Choose the right image format
Use HEIC to JPG when a site does not accept iPhone photos. JPG suits photographs; PNG supports transparency and lossless graphics; WebP is useful when your destination supports it. Converting a low-quality JPG to PNG cannot restore missing detail.
Prepare a website image
Crop to the intended shape, resize to the displayed dimensions, then compress or convert to WebP. Keep the original so you can make a different size later. Large batches need more device memory; smaller batches can help on phones.
