How to convert a JPG to SVG
1. Choose the JPG
Open a JPG logo, scan, sketch or photo up to 30 MB. It is traced in your browser and never uploaded.
2. Pick the image type
Use Logo or artwork for flat graphics, Black and white for scans and signatures, or Photo for pictures. Tick Make the background transparent to drop a plain backdrop.
3. Download the SVG
Check the preview against the original, then select Download SVG or copy the code.
Cleaning up JPG noise
JPG compression leaves faint blocks and colour fringes around edges, and each can become its own shape. Set Colours to the number your artwork really uses and lower Detail a step. If you have the original PNG or a larger JPG, start from that instead.
Scans, signatures and photos
For a scanned signature or sketch, choose Black and white and move Black level until the lines are solid and the paper is clean. Photos trace into a stylised, poster-like picture and often produce an SVG larger than the JPG. To isolate the subject of a photo first, use Background remover.

Questions & answers
How do I convert a JPG to SVG?
Choose the JPG. It is traced straight away. Pick Logo or artwork, Photo, or Black and white to match the image, check the preview, then select Download SVG.
Why is my JPG logo full of tiny shapes?
JPG compression adds faint colour noise around edges, and each patch can become a shape. Reduce Colours to the number your logo really uses and lower Detail one step.
Can I turn a photo into an SVG?
Yes, with the Photo setting, but expect a stylised, poster-like picture rather than a copy of the photo. The SVG is often larger than the JPG. SVG suits flat artwork far better than photographs.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every Feemag tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermarks added by us and no daily limits.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser on your device and never uploaded to a server. Processing speed depends on your device and file size.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes: in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux.
