How to use compare pdf text

  1. 1. Select the original and revision

Choose exactly two PDFs together: original first, revised second. Check the displayed order.

  2. 2. Compare existing text

Select Compare text. Scanned pages require OCR before they can be compared.

  3. 3. Read the differences

Review the before-and-after text for changed page positions and download the report. Check images and formatting separately.

What this tool preserves

Text comparison only. Images, formatting and moved pages are not analyzed. OCR scanned documents first.

Privacy and practical limits

Files stay on your device. Each input must be under 150 MB. Processing speed and memory use depend on your device. Keep original documents; PDF transformations do not preserve digital-signature validity.

Questions & answers

Does this detect image or formatting changes?

No. It compares extracted text at the same page positions. It does not compare images, font styling, visual layout or moved pages.

Can I compare scanned PDFs?

Run OCR on scanned pages first. Pages with no extractable text are reported rather than treated as proof that the files match.

What is included in the comparison report?

The report names both files and shows the original and revised text for each changed page position, including added or removed pages.

Which languages are supported?

Language support: compares existing Unicode text in any language, including Urdu and Arabic, when the PDF contains correct text mappings. It does not translate or recognize scanned text. Scans need OCR first, with the OCR tool’s separate language limits.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every Feemag tool is free, with no sign-up, no watermarks added by us and no daily limits.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser on your device and never uploaded to a server. Processing speed depends on your device and file size.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes: in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux.
